    Know of my prayers as my Dominican Brothers and guests begin this General Chapter. Since I am a canonist and work with our cloistered Dominican Nuns, I am interested in what transpires with the Constitution.

    Annunciare il vangelo oggi è  per noi domenicani Apostolato mostrare ciò che è nascosto, ma c’è, è presente…anzi è Colui che è presente "strada facendo, predicate, dicendo che il Regno dei cieli è vicino" (Mt 10,7).
    Discorsi troppo alti e difficili su Dio al giorno d’oggi non trovano terreno fertile: il che non significa che dobbiamo abbassarne il livello ma piuttosto trovare il modo di trasmettere la ricchezza che deriva dalla nostra fede in termini familiari. Le persone vogliono che si parli con loro e di loro, non a loro. Non si tratta di sacrificare l’autenticità del Vangelo per risultare più attraenti, ma di seguire l’esempio di Paolo (Atti 14, 16-17): annunciare Colui che è già presente tra noi. Invitare a scoprire Dio dall’interno, non da fuori. Insegnare ad ascoltare i desideri del proprio cuore, il bisogno di amore, di infinito, di mistero, di verità e di bellezza. Chiedete alle persone da dove vengono questi desideri e dove puntano. Aiutateli a scoprire che la Fede risponde a ognuno di questi desideri, che solo Cristo corrisponde pienamente alle loro esistenze.

    But you can fix this issue fast. There is a tool

    La Vergine Maria benedica il nuovo Maestro! Lo Spirito guidi i lavori capitolari per una nuova evangelizzazione.
    Proporre oggi la fede vuol dire conquistare i cuori, toccarli, mostrare al cuore la desiderabilità della fede ed alla ragione la verità del cristianesimo. Vuol dire “trafiggerli”, come fece la predicazione di Pietro subito dopo la Pentecoste (At 2, 37). È importante chiarire che questa “trafittura del cuore” avviene dinanzi a qualcosa che non è opera dell’uomo, eppure tocca il cuore come niente altro al mondo ha mai fatto: Gesù Cristo, Figlio di Dio, Salvatore.
    Non si tratta, cioè, semplicemente di parlare della fede, bensì di fondarla, di farla nascere, di farla desiderare. La fede deve essere annunziata, non solo enunziata. Questo deve essere posto a fondamento della predicazione domenicana. Deve esserne l’origine, il primo passo: desiderare la fede, risvegliandone la sua originaria bellezza. Buon lavoro …

  10. The Faculty of Theology of Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands, would like to congratulate the Dominican Order with the election of the new Master of the Order, Fr. Gerard Francesco Timoner o.p. We are honoured that an alumnus from Nijmegen will fulfill this task for the coming 9 years. We have good memories of Fr. Timoner’s intellectual capacities, energy and commitment during his studies at the Faculty of Theology (2001-2004) here, and are fully confident that he will fulfill this task with responsibility and humility. On behalf of the staff of the Radboud Faculty of Theology, I am happy congratulate the Dominican Order with their new Master, and like to convey our best wishes to Fr. Timoner for his future work.

    Bonjour! I am a 65 years old Fourth Degree Knight and since I was a very small boy I always wanted to join the religious life. I am very active within the churches in the Virgin Islands and will be retiring next year. I would am interested in joining the Dominicans in TOLOSANA, FRANCE. I have dual citizenship’s and have a large family in la France and have visited many places in southern France. Thank you advance and May Papa God Bless and protect all of you always.
